Large Folio Best 50 Currier and Ives print, Home to Thanksgiving
Print had after cleaning by another restorer, some still visible staining,
loss of original coloring and gum arabic along with a ph under 7.0

Completed print was neutralized, flattened, highlight and gum arabic
applied along with buffered and stabilizing the final procedure.
This lovely print was Conserved and Restored back to its original beauty.
C&I - Home to Thanksgiving was matted and framed by us.
Client was pleased and so was the customer who purchased it from the dealer.

Samuel Chamberlain Etching pencil signed
Small folio etching with mat burn, foxing and overall toning from acidic old mat with tape stains.
Print was dry cleaned, fumigated, neutralized and cleaned with stabilizing and buffered to treat the
acidity and brought up to ph of 7.0+ for hundreds of years of enjoyment.

Springtime in Salem (Chestnut Street) - Salem 71/100 ed.
pencil signed Samuel Chamberlain etching which is stabilized, cleaned and neutralized.

Small Pencil drawing, signed Jean Charlot '33 which was taped to acidic mat with burn along with a few small tears and low ph of paper.
Dry cleaned, removal of the tape, cleaned print and Reduced staining, repaired tears, decided drawing and flattened print.

Drawing's acidity was reduced to safe level of Ph. 7.0 and buffered so the final finished piece is now safely stabilized for years to come.

Audubon Havell Edition print, #402, sometimes called "Five Alcids" dated 1838 was generally in good condition. Deacidified, dry cleaned, enhanced
the original coloring of bird's beak and flattened cockled corners. Paper acidity was reduced to safe level of Ph. 7.0 entire print buffered and flattened.

Architectual Print with drawing and hand coloring. Reduced staining, dry cleaned, repaired some minor tears
and flattened print. Paper acidity reduced to safe level of Ph. 7.0 Old acidic mat was also removed.

Full image shows excessive staining and tear repairs which included cleanings and deacidifications.

After treatments of our Conservation and Restoration services, the completed print was Deacidified, matted with
archivally framed using all-rag matboard with Conservation glass and a Birds Eye Maple Frame.

Large folio Elephant folio, Hyperborean Phalarope after John James Audubon - R. Havell edition, of a hand colored print shows how the print was heavily acidic and toned. The completed print shows how we reduced the light foxing and acidity while preserving the detail and beauty of its original coloring. Light buckling was reduced with sizing and completed print was flattened.

Small folio Currier & Ives print shows excessive water stains and toning reduced in this 1861, hand colored print. Cleaning, deacidification, flattening and color enhancement.

Large folio English Hunt Print circa 1857 - Proof (on tissue) of a hand colored print shows how the print was heavily foxed and stained with light acidity and toning. The close-up shows how we reduced the foxing and acidity while preserving the detail and beauty of its coloring.

Early watercolor 18"x24" circa 1807 was backed on very acidic cardboard and shows heavy toning and foxing in the close-up view. This watercolor was sealed prior to its demounting and deacidification to preserve all detail and coloring. Word done was deacidification and demounting.
