If you would like us to estimate work for you, we
suggest taking the following steps:
-
Provide us with the folio size and the degree of staining
and/or damage to your print.
-
E-mail us with the above information - an estimate will be
suggested from your information.
-
We will then be able to give you an estimate that should
reflect our proposed work and costs.
-
If you have decided to ship us your work for evaluation,
package it (without glass) between sheets of very strong cardboard. If
you have trouble, contact us.
-
Please fill out and include our Order
/Request Form with your artwork.
-
When we received your work, we will evaluate and estimate
services and work for you.
- Our
Process that we use for Conservation and Restoration cleanings is slow and
mild, using alkaline distilled water with sunlight. It literally takes
many, many applications with a weeks time inbetween applications to safely
reduce and bring back your prints natural beauty. No sunlight, no
cleanings. Please be patient in allowing us to safely clean and preserve
your print's and documents. This is why it takes us 6 to 12 months
or more to complete some difficult cleanings. We can't be rushed as
your order comes to its final cleaning and your patients is appreciated.
- We are happy to update clients on progress of your order but seem
to almost always fall short of expected or projected completion dates. I
am a one person shop so there is only so much I can do in one day. Your
understanding is appreciated.
- We also have a Materials
fee, for Supplies, Blotters, chemicals, supplies, deacidification spray
in addition to Restoration / Conservation charges.
- We will provide you with itemized work order which includes
all estimated costs and work.
-
Estimates that don't meet
with your approval, and you do not want to go forward with our work,
your artwork will be returned to you.
-
If accepted, we begin your work after receiving your
approval either via eMail, phone or signing Order form.
- Established customers pay for their work
upon shipment. First orders for new customers are payable prior
to shipping.
- Large orders may require a 50% deposit
before starting work. No deposits are needed for single orders.
-
All work sent to us, follows the conditions set forth in
our Conditions
of Acceptance and Completion for All Work.
-
UPS - USPS shipping, packing and insurance are in addition to the
work or service charges.
Our Information Sheet. It shows the costs and our
conditions for acceptance and completion of customer's work. Although, verbal
estimates are given, we will need to see and test each print to properly
evaluate and recommend the work that we feel will be necessary for correct
conservation and restorations of your artwork. Each customer should request
a copy of this form with their work estimate.
